Christmas in Paris

We decided to go for a completely different Christmas this year so we went to Paris - Paris, Las Vegas that is. For anyone not familiar with Tinseltown, the major hotels have a theme. Paris exterior features a half size Eiffel tower and a replica Arc de Triomphe. Inside reproduces Paris Cafe culture, complete with painted on sky and lighting which changes as the day goes on. Opposite Paris is my personal favourite, The Bellagio, with incredible fountains out front which dance in time to music. Christmas Day was certainly different - Christmas lunch at the Paris Buffet (every yummy thing you can possibly imagine on offer - ever had snails for Christmas lunch?) required a 3 hour queue on our behalf by DH while us girls went shopping, or window shopping perhaps, at nearby Caesar's Palace Forum shops.

Meanwhile, back in Idaho Falls, over a foot of snow had fallen. We cooked Christmas lunch and opened presents on December 30th after K arrived from New Zealand.

We were snowed in for several days and more snow on the way - hey ho!

Take a look at the Bellagio fountains - sorry, no music.
